When I was a child👦 I used to think that that whole India got independence on 15 August 1947. 🇮🇳 But it is half truth The British India Empire 🇬🇧 , which included  present-day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh was divided into two types of territories: the provinces of British India,  which were governed directly by British officials responsible to the Governor General of India ; and princely states, 🤴 under the rule of local hereditary rulers who recognised British  suzerainty in return for local autonomy, in most cases as established by treaty. So, on 15 August 1947,only the Provinces of British India got Independence and not the whole India. India has started working on the 'Necklace of Diamonds  ' strategy. This strategy aims at garlanding China or in simple words, the counter encirclement strategy. India is expanding its naval bases and is also improving relations with strategically placed countries to counter China's 'STRING OF PEARLS'.
